How predictions & markets work
Pick’em predictions
Rank the field from 1st to last on any upcoming race. Correct winners and podiums earn points that tally on the Pick’em leaderboard (visible to JV+). Free to play on every tier.
Prop bets (YES / NO)
Admin-curated questions like “Will Gonzaga break 5:30 at Stotesbury?” Vote YES or NO before lock-in. Correct picks earn 2 points; wrong picks earn 0.
Crew Coins markets
Some props open a Polymarket-style market where JV and Varsity subscribers trade YES / NO shares using Crew Coins. Prices move as the crowd bets, and settled shares pay 1 coin each when the prop resolves in their favour.
- JV bankroll: 1,000 coins (refills monthly if low)
- Varsity bankroll: 5,000 coins (refills monthly if low)
- Free tier cannot trade
Race betting (parimutuel)
Every upcoming race has a Crew Coins pool. Stake on any crew; the house takes 5%, and the remaining pot is split across winning bets in proportion to stake size. JV+ only.
Propose a market (Varsity)
Varsity subscribers can submit prop bet ideas with a clear resolution rule. Admins review each proposal before it goes live. Look for the Propose a market button above.
Crew Coins markets are open to JV+ subscribers. Pick'em remains free for everyone on the predictions page.
